Stacey

Stacey is the principal teacher of SMB Dance. Stacey has been dancing and performing since the age of 4, after leaving school she trained and completed a three year professional dance and teachers of dance course at Preston Dance College, UK.

Stacey has been a dance teacher for a number of successful dance schools in the UK and New Zealand having her Associate IDTA Modern Jazz and Freestyle qualification.

She has performed in and choreographed numerous professional dance shows. She has completed advanced grades in ISTD Tap, Ballet, Modern, Jazz and National Dance. Also RAD Ballet and IDTA Freestlyle, Cheerleading and Street Dance.

Stacey has had a very successful dance school in New Zealand and is now growing SMB Dance in the UK.

She has a huge passion for teaching and enjoys watching her students progress within the dance school. Her end of year shows are always a huge success and she strives to get the best results from each and every student making classes fun, friendly and exciting.

Amy

Ballet Tap Acrobatic Dance Contemporary Pointe

Having danced throughout her childhood at her local dance school, performing at regional competitions and performance platforms, Amy followed in the footsteps of those that inspired her to become a qualified dance teacher, allowing her to share her love of dance to people of all ages. At 17 Amy took her first IDTA teaching examination and by the age of 21 had successfully achieved her Licentiate Ballet teaching qualification along with a BA (HONS) Dance and Aerial Performance degree.

Having worked at SMB Dance now for 5 years Amy has seen her young dancers flourish, achieving fantastic exam results, becoming confident performers and choreographers whilst supporting many student teachers. Amy teaches Acrobatic Dance, Ballet, Contemporary, Theatre Stars and Tap at SMB Dance designing fun and engaging classes for all ages to learn, progress and achieve. One of her favourite things about working here is the annual show, a chance for our students to showcase their skills and perform in a theatre.

Along with her numerous IDTA teaching qualifications, Amy is a qualified secondary school dance teacher, graded ‘outstanding in all areas’ and currently teaches KS3 Performing Arts, GCSE Dance, A-Level Dance and BTEC Performing Arts. Amy continually strives to share her passion with the next generation of dancers and teachers and enjoys seeing their successes.

Annabel

My name is Annabel. I am passionate about creating a fun and safe learning environment. I
have 16 years of dance experience, 4 years being professional. I have trained at Leeds
Northern Ballet and various schools in NYC, including the Martha Graham School and Joffrey
Ballet. I moved to NYC when I was 18 to study the wide range of styles on offer and
experience the fast-paced city life, it is the wealth of knowledge that I gained here which I
aim to convey in my teaching. I am specialised in contemporary and ballet but also well-
versed in jazz, tap, pointe and lyrical. Besides dance, I also have a strong interest in fitness, I
have worked at The Gym Group and I am a Level 4 qualified Personal Trainer. I hope to see
you in class!

Hannah

Freestyle Jazz Tap Acrobatic Dance Ballet Contemporary Technique Street Dance

Hannah is professionally trained in dance and musical theatre. Since completing her training at Phil Winston’s Theatre College Hannah has completed a number of professional contracts including Disneyland Paris as a parade dancer/performer. Along side dancing Hannah has taught for a number of years specialising in ballet and tap, showing a huge passion for teaching. Hannah loves being able to pass on her skills and encourage young dancers. She loves sharing her passion for dancing and inspiring SMB Dance students.

Kortnie

Street Dance

Kortnie’s professional dance training includes a 3 year performing arts course at Dolphin Dance Studio, Liverpool and a 2 Year National Diploma in dance course at Manchester City College. Kortnie now works all around Manchester teaching children from the age of 0-18. She is very enthusiastic and bubbly and loves to teach all varieties of dance. She also has experience teaching children and adults with special needs and the elderly. Kortnie has been teaching for 7 years in all areas of Manchester and also teaches fitness classes such as body conditioning, Zumba and legs, bums and tums, Childrens parties and Hen do’s. She works for many different companies and also has experience in teaching sport and drama. She is very energetic and loves to make the children have fun. She has been dancing since the age of 6 in all areas such as ballet, tap, jazz, street, modern, Contemporary and Salsa. In Kortnie’s years of training and dancing she’s taken part in many shows, Tribute shows, pantomimes, music videos and television work. Dance is her passion and she loves passing her passion onto other people.

Jess

Commercial Dance

Jessica has always had a passion for dance, ever since she started at the age of 3. She has gone on to perform in numerous shows after completing a 3 year course at Dolphin Dance Studios.

Jessica has spent her past 6 years performing on cruise ships, working in theatres, and teaching dance. She has been Dance Captain & Show Company Manager for the past 3 years on board the Queen Victoria and Queen Elizabeth (Cunard), performing Top Hat the Musical, and recently choreographer for Royal Court Theatre Company on the Queen Elizabeth.

Jessica has performed in many pantomimes at the Liverpool Empire and her favourite theatre show to perform was Chicago at Oldham Coliseum.

She has taught many different styles of dance having teaching qualifications with the IDTA, and mostly enjoys seeing students progress and achieve goals.
